How to Measure Filter Cartridge Dimensions for Replacement Orders
A step-by-step guide for overseas buyers who need replacement filter cartridges but do not have complete drawings or original part numbers.
Measure the main dimensions first
Record outer diameter, inner diameter, total height, end cap shape, gasket position, mounting hole size and whether the cartridge has open or closed ends.
Photos reduce matching mistakes
Take clear photos from the top, bottom, side, gasket, mounting plate and old dust collector nameplate. Put a ruler next to the part when possible.
Filter media matters
The same size cartridge may use different media. Polyester, nanofiber, PTFE membrane, antistatic and flame-retardant directions should match dust condition and equipment requirements.
Create a repeat-order record
For long-term supply, record dimensions, media, quantity, packing method and replacement cycle. This turns a one-time inquiry into a stable maintenance supply item.
