Paint mist is not the same as VOCs
Paint mist is particulate overspray. VOCs are organic gas components. A good spray booth exhaust system usually needs particulate filtration before VOCs treatment.
Poor pre-filtration damages downstream equipment
If paint mist enters activated carbon boxes, catalytic combustion systems or ducts, it can increase pressure drop, create maintenance problems and reduce treatment stability.
Filter stages should match the process
Paint arrestor filters, pocket filters, secondary filters and sometimes activated carbon media should be selected according to paint type, spray volume and working hours.
Prepare booth information for design
Send spray booth dimensions, workpiece size, paint type, exhaust airflow, filter size and photos of the existing exhaust path before requesting VOCs equipment.
